Current status of the regional planning procedure for the Dresden–Prague new-build line project

DB Netz AG submitted the documents for the regional planning procedure to Saxony’s regional planning authority in December 2019 – Public consultation completed in January and February – The planning authority (State Directorate of Saxony) is now considering the comments submitted by the public

Following the handover by DB Netz AG of the documents for the regional planning procedure to the State Directorate of Saxony (Landesdirektion Sachsen) in December 2019, the planning authority officially launched the consultation with 120 stakeholders in Germany and 19 in the Czech Republic in a letter dated 17 December 2019. The planning documents were on public display in the ten municipalities likely to be affected by the project from 6 January to 28 February 2020. Comments were submitted up to 6 March 2020 (or 31 March 2020 with an approved deadline extension).

The approximately 5,600 comments submitted are currently being evaluated by the State Directorate of Saxony and incorporated into its expert opinion. The regional planning procedure is expected to conclude by mid-2020.
