Heidenau working group meets in person on 30 September 2020

On 30 September 2020, representatives from the Heidenau working group held a meeting in the town, observing all the current social distancing measures. Participants visited the area around the Pechhütte in Heidenau, Staatsstrasse 172 (area around the Niederhof) and looked at the existing line west of Heidenau-Grosssedlitz station. The objective was to answer participants’ questions and gather more information for the design work. The minutes will be available in the media centre from late October.

First online information event held successfully on 7 October 2020

The first online information event was attended by some 135 people, who took the opportunity to find out more about the project and its progress. Kay Müller (DB Netz AG, project manager) and Claudia Dienst (ifok GmbH, facilitator) guided the participants through the event and answered questions at the end using the chat function. Feedback on the virtual event format, a first for the project, was overwhelmingly positive, though there is no substitute for meeting the affected residents in person. The format will continue in 2021.

A recording of the event will remain accessible on the project’s Youtube channel.
The presentation and questions and answers are available in the media centre.

Information centre in Heidenau to open in 2021

Deutsche Bahn has announced plans to open an information centre in Heidenau in 2021. The information centre will give residents and other interested parties an early opportunity to familiarise themselves with how the project will affect them and their local area and to find out more about what is planned and the progress being made.

“We invite all residents and interested parties to e-mail us about appropriate locations or properties in Heidenau at dresden-prag@deutschebahn.com. Deutsche Bahn is dedicated to ensuring transparency and discussion of the project plans and other measures. The information centre will form an important part of public relations work.”
